Sorry not to have visited your blog for a while, but at least have been keeping up with the personal approach via email and phone. Lovely to see the pics of you at Ipanema. Looking forward to the pic of you and Jon singing carols round the decorated beer bottle! Would have loved to have witnessed you miming stuffing a turkey in the supermarket.(thoughts of a Mr Bean sketch!) Fancy there being no Spanish word for stuffing! Reminds me of the time I had to mime using a rawl plug in France - don't ask! Be in contact in a week or so after snowy balls and festive ceilidhs in Scotland.
Maybe grammatical error was caused by drinking too many of the previously mentioned festive beer bottles?? Hope you had a great Christmas - was lovely to speak to you - not so lovely to be told the temperature over there! Happy new year...xxxxx
Can we do videos on blogsite? If not, why not? All I want to see - with a passion - is Hannah miming stuffing a turkey in that supermarket...........!
...maybe it could become your party piece - that no family function is complete without a performance. Possibly Ellen's nuptuals might be the very next such family occasion......?
I don't have a destination, and I don't know where my path through life will take me. What I do know is that the more I travel, the more I want to travel and the more I value the vast differences and surprising similarities between people and places across the miles. These are my musings for those I love and care about, or anyone who wants to share my journey and for however long that might be.
Less of the itchy feet at the moment and more the incessant wriggle of tiny feet in my life. I gave birth to a beautiful daughter, Azara, almost four weeks ago and she is pretty much consuming every waking and most sleeping hours. It's a long way from my days as a footloose and fancy free foreign correspondent in South America, but I'm loving it, although I miss the old days, my friends and the work. Hopefully our baby will have the chance to travel the world with us soon as we get back to flexing our own itchy feet.

Was more relieved that you knew the difference between 'abroad' and 'a broad'...!
