Moving house
Greetings from a soggy Lymington. I'm going to have to keep this one short as I am borrowing a computer, but wanted to say thanks to everyone who posted the messages and wished us well for our move. The address for the next couple of weeks in Totton, near Southampton, is 3, Downs Park Road, Eling, Southampton, SO40 9GL. We won't be there for that long and I will give you the new address when we move to more longer term digs. We're all well and I'm lookinh forward to having our own place, complete with TV, washing machine, phone, etc, which we don't have at the moment. Jon has started his new job today. I'll update you on that when I can. Take care and love to you all.

Thanks for the address, Hannah - and the info about the alternative Everton!! It is hard to believe that it is even worse than the famous one.......although the bikers bar did sound interesting! Sorry about the rapid end to the conversation at that point - I do so hate it when work gets in the way of my socialising, when on-duty!!
Keep out of the way of all of those blue-rinsed topsies that you were telling me about. Apart from the ones in the biker bar - they are probably quite cool!!

Hannah, good to read your latest. And congratulations to Jon on the job (I don't think we've said 'well done' so far) which is great news. Yes, keep us posted when you have your long-term address because we've a wedding invite for you all. Hope it all works out very well now you're down south.
News from here? Well, we're off to NYC on Sunday for a week. The Inedible Halk has been invited to give a talk on South American politics so we jumped at the chance of a trip to the US. Mind you, have heard it's snowing and freezing in NY at the moment, so time to look out the winter woolies again.
Will be weird because we'll be leaving behind the Lima summer (very good so far Han -- but you know how it all changes soon when the mist rolls in and you can't see out the window).
Other important news you need to know: Larcomar has opened a new 'fashion' section with more clothes/shoe shops and also, bizarrely enough, a plastic surgery clinic!!
Proper news: there was a protest at Asia beach nearly a month ago now (organised by human-rights groups) where a fair number of people demonstrated against the 'empleadas' not being allowed in the sea at certain times of day and not being allowed out of their uniforms. Good stuff! Dan did a story on it for the Beeb.

It's obviously in the genes, and, anyway I blame the parents.......

Just thinking of you all and hoping that today's move is going well. I should think that you'll be able to write a 'movers guide' when you find some space in your lives - oh and a chair to sit on!
(I hope you were able to find a bed to sleep in.)
Looking forward to hearing about your latest place...and isn't it time to be seeing another picture of Azara now she's virtually cooking her own meals and feeding herself?
